This bench was conceived for a tailored project in a villa on the island of St Martin. Imagined at the edge of the bed, facing the Caribbean Sea, it was designed to mark the day’s first and last gestures. A place to sit while entering the morning, and again before retreating into the private realm at night. That rhythm shaped its form. Solid ebonized oak grounds the piece, holding a marble top sliding seamlessly into its body, while aged brass feet quietly mark its contact with the floor—an object born from transition, repetition, and quiet resolve.
